British Cemetery, Gılgıt

Gravestone of George Hayward, one of the greatest of all the Great Game explorers. The chowkidar, Ghulam Ali (pictured wıth Dan), and hıs father before him, maintained the cemetery without any financial support for 50 years after independence until 1997 when a British charity funded its renovation.
